Faith Required

Proverbs 3:5-7a

Trust in the LORD with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.
Do not be wise in your own eyes;

I can't see the Big Picture, so I don't always know the right things to do. God, who is unlimited and outside of time is the only One who sees the wholeness and fullness of the Big Picture. So, if I trust Him, even in times when I don't understand why He asks me to do something, then that is wisdom. People around me might think I am being foolish because they don't understand the situation, but that's exactly where faith and trust come in. If I understand it all, then faith is not required. It is when I don't get it that I move beyond my own understanding and step into faith.

I endeavor to walk by faith and not by sight. (2 Cor. 5:7)

Question for You: Do you have a favorite Scripture or saying that helps you keep in Faith?

  1. Hi Karen, I am sorry about your loss. I saw your post on the Jan 2010 birth club on babyzone. We have had losses also. They are never "easier to deal with" because there have been many, like was commented to me. I pray for you in your journey. We have a family blog and a pregnancy blog. http://tscarlile.blogspot.com and http://addthemup.blogspot.com
    Wishing your family a blessed rest of the year!
