Shooting the Day Away

The morning was relaxing, hanging out with the Mitchell's for awhile.  Gaelyn, Tov & Anders were Rose's kitty cats, all the children helped out with kitchen duty, and Anders had a hoot with Sid giggling away.

Everette & a few children climbed up Observation Mountain before breakfast.  Had a great view of Grand Forks.

We made a quick visit to meet Marie & Menno and their 4 children before they rushed off to shop in Kelowna.  They attend the same church as Rose & Sid, and are also friends of my friend Shelley from Qualicum.  So now I can put a face to Marie when we email.

We had a sweet visit although short, and Everette said he had a great conversation with Menno.

Most of our drive today was uneventful, except the fact that Laars was throwing up.  Never fun, and never convenient when driving.

We were staying in Kamloops 

 

with Pat (who stayed with us on Cape Breton just a few weeks ago) and he invited us to a 'party' with the Junior Shooters at the outdoor range.  So we crashed their BBQ, and the children were all able to do some shooting.  Maret shot the pistol, but unfortunately we don't have pics as Everette wasn't aware she was shooting at the same time the other children were shooting the .22.  But here's some shots of the children doing their thing, and other pics from the evening.
