Laars settled down better with a full tummy, and we creeped our way through the Montreal morning traffic. Things were never at a standstill, so in that way it was way better than Vancouver rush hours. We didn't make any stops in Montreal but kept on going.
No stops in Ottawa this time either. We kept to the highway except for getting gas and some food breaks. But certainly noticed that the bushes were all blossoming, and there were tonnes of purple lilacs (my favs) starting to bloom along the highway.
Our original goal was to get to Pembroke, but we were there by 2:30pm so we decided to keep going. A quick detour into Petawawa for gas where its cheap and a side of the hwy stop to eat before we headed right into a rain cloud (and Gaelyn buried a butterfly and said prayers for it) and we were off to North Bay.
So that's where we are tonight. Early enough to take in a swim and give the dc a bath, and watch some Treehouse!! Can you say "Glory!"
That was sweet of Gaelyn to bury the butterfly. But aren't butterflies poop?......in Katie's world....and I thought in Gaelyn's. "Eat rainbows and poop butterflies." =D
