I'm wondering where exactly that phrase came from. Any ideas?
My idea is that a barefooted person would be grounded to the earth, thereby more likely to be healthy. A healthy woman is more likely to be fertile. And being grounded would be definitely healthy for both her and her unborn baby.
if i recall, it's an old country saying...accurately depicting the "olden days" of mom being home, having the babies and sticking it out in the kitchen. :) i personally love being barefoot and pg...in the kitchen or not!
ReplyDeleteI like the barefoot, and the pregnant too, but the kitchen isn't my favoritest place to be.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you like being pregnant too much, and so baby doesn't want to come out ;) (I'm smirking!!!)
